fib 2014 Awards for Outstanding Concrete Structures: deadline extension

The deadline for entries for the 2014 edition of the fib Awards for Outstanding Concrete Structures has now been extended to 28 February 2013.

fib 2014 Congress: extended deadline for abstracts

The organisers of the 2014 fib Congress in Mumbai, India, (10-14 February 2014) have announced that the deadline for the submission of abstracts has been extended until 28 February 2013. Submissions may be made through the online submission portal: https://www.softconf.com/d/fib2014/.

Seventh International Conference on Concrete under Severe Conditions

The Seventh International Conference on Concrete under Severe Conditions – Environment and Loading (CONSEC13) will be held in Nanjing, China, from Sept. 23-25, 2013.

The objective of the CONSEC Conferences is to focus on the issues of concrete infrastructures and private buildings, either subjected to severe environment or severe loading, or any combination of severe conditions. Experience from the performance of existing concrete structures, and especially under severe environmental conditions.

Sixth International Symposium on Strait Crossings

The Sixth International Symposium on Strait Crossings will take place on 16-19 June 2013 in Bergen, Norway.

The symposium will focus on connections across wide and deep straits, constructed and operated under extreme conditions with high waves and strong winds and currents. Strait crossings greatly influence transportation costs as well as social development, the environment, energy consumption and traffic safety issues. The symposium intends to cover all of these aspects.
