fib Symposium 2015 in Copenhagen: Call for papers

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 2015 fib Symposium, taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 18 to 20 May 2015. The abstract text must be max. 500 words with no tables or pictures; the deadline for submission is 1st May 2014. The symposium theme is “Concrete – Innovation and Design”, with the following sub-topics:

  • Civil works
  • Conservation of structures
  • Innovation in buildings
  • New materials and structures
  • Analysis and design
  • Modeling of concrete
  • Numerical modeling
  • Life cycle design
  • Safety and reliability

A “case studies” format will be offered for oral presentations of structural concrete projects, under execution or recently completed, without a submitted paper. The PowerPoint presentation is subject to review by the Scientific Committee.

Call for papers: ACF 2014

Abstracts are being accepted until 28 February 2014 for the 6th International Conference of Asian Concrete Federation, taking place in Seoul, Korea, from 21 to 24 September 2014. The aim of the ACF 2014 is to share the latest developments in research and application of concrete technologies in civil and architectural engineering areas, with the theme “Asian Concrete Vision 2030″.

Participants who are interested in presenting a paper(s) are invited to submit a maximum one page A4 size abstract(s) in English (with or without figures). For abstract submission and further information, visit http://www.acf2014.kr.


All-Russian Conference on concrete and reinforced concrete

The second International, third All-Russian Conference on concrete and reinforced concrete will take place in Moscow from 12 to 16 May 2014. The aim of the conference is to assist scientists, engineers and businessmen in further development of this branch of economy by the exchange of valuable scientific and commercial knowledge. A wide variety of themes related to concrete and reinforced concrete will be addressed. The conference will be accompanied by the specialized exhibition and a contest for the best achievement in concrete and reinforced concrete.

CIC2014: Registration open

Registration is now open for the Concrete Innovation Conference 2014 (CIC2014), taking place in Oslo, Norway on 11-13 June 2014. The conference themes will cover innovation in, but not limited to, the following areas: environmentally friendly concrete structures, efficient construction, structural design and structural performance, prolongation of service life. In addition, to underline the importance of innovation, a contest will be organized to highlight the best innovation.
